CNC Multi-Tasking Machining

 CNC Multi-Tasking Machining

It is not without reason, the Mazak INTEGREX i-400 is called “The ultimate DONE-IN-ONE machine”. The multi-tasking machine is able to turn and mill in the same installation as well as perform full 3D processing.

The machine works in a wide range of materials, including difficult processed materials such as Inconel. In this case, the machine works with an extreme precision.

All machines have implemented a Gibbs/Mastercam CAD/CAM software.

Our latest polyaxled lathe, Mori Seiki NZX 2000, serial-produces many components during the week with the Kawasaki robot from Bila.

Statistical process control

Regarding the serial production of components, we maintain complete statistical process controls. The controls cover a line of statistical methods, which we apply to understand and analyse the variation of the production process in order to make relevant changes in the process. This means that we plan the production ingeniously in order to avoid faulty produced components. This applies during unmanned production too.

Stability and optimisation

Machine worker Allan Mikkelsen’s daily work focuses on ensuring the customers the most optimal production of their advanced components. This comes to pass when he incorporates a stabile processing process of the component so the production is able to run unmanned at night and when he works with optimisation subsequently. “At RIVAL it is in our blood to work with the production processes every time,” Allan says. “We have lots of experience, which means, that we are often able to suggest optimisations, which increases the value of collaborating with us.”
