Helle honours the new standards on RIVAL’s board
At RIVAL, the owners have been looking for a new board member with experience and competencies from the defence industry for a long time. “Our board must reflect the strategic situation, we are in,” co-owner Christian Aarup says. “Helle Specht is a really good match in relation to our strategic focus on the defence industry.”
Helle Specht is a board member of DI’s trade association, Defense and Security, and Christian Aarup has met Helle on several occasions in the association. Helle is the director of TenCate Advanced Armor, which produces armour plates for protection against weapon attacks. She has worked at TenCate for over 15 years both as quality and development manager and now as CEO of the Danish TenCate department.
A professional company with an honest tone
Helle was very honoured to be contacted regarding a board position at RIVAL. After meetings with Henrik Holvad and the rest of the board, in which the interfaces between Helle’s job and the board’s work at RIVAL were established, she said yes to a seat on the board.
“At RIVAL, I meet a great passion for the work and a professional organisation with a very honest and good tone,” Helle says. “It is an ambitious company with great potential. At the same time, there is also a high degree of awareness about growing at an easy pace. For this matter, we play an important role on the board. We must ensure a 360-degree view of the possibilities and consider what is good for RIVAL both short and long term. I am incredibly happy to be a part of the team at RIVAL and to be able to bring my competencies into play for the benefit of RIVAL’s future strategic development.”
