LPM-RIVAL responds to growing demand for system solutions
“In Ølgod, we are expanding with the world’s coolest assembly line”
Our customers are busy – and we are keeping up
“We can clearly feel that our customers have turned up the pace,” says Christian Aarup, CCO at LPM-RIVAL. In 2025, orders have been coming in at high speed, especially from defense customers who need to produce more components for the armed forces.
This reflects the broader societal development, where investments in the defense industry are increasing significantly. In Denmark, for example, the government has decided to invest DKK 50 billion in defense in 2025 and 2026.
From component supplier to system supplier
Customers are increasingly looking for suppliers who can deliver complete systems instead of individual components.
“In our dialogue with customers, we clearly experience a growing demand for solutions with more complete systems. That is also why it has become a central part of our strategy to move from being a component supplier to becoming a system supplier,” explains Christian Aarup.
Major expansion of assembly facilities
As part of the strategy to become a stronger system supplier, LPM-RIVAL is facing a major expansion of its assembly facilities. “In Ølgod, we are expanding with the world’s coolest assembly line,” says CEO Jan Nielsen Økjær with a smile.
The new line will provide more capacity, ensure better workflows, and make it possible to handle more projects efficiently. To be precise, the expansion will add 1,600 m² of assembly space.
Quality according to the industry’s highest standards
With the expansion, LPM-RIVAL is also strengthening its focus on quality and process reliability.
“We work according to the AS9100 standard, which is the international quality standard for the aerospace and defense industry. This ensures that every assembly project is carried out with full traceability, documentation, and quality in every single detail – to the benefit of our customers,” says Christian Aarup.
