LPM-RIVAL welcomes largest machine to date
“We’re seeing a major increase in demand from our customers, and that means we constantly have to consider how to expand our capacity.”
Early morning, LPM-RIVAL’s employees gathered in the parking lot. The reason? A historic delivery was on its way – LPM-RIVAL’s largest machine ever. The 54-ton DMU 200 Gantry had arrived at the production facility in Svejstrup.
Tension in the air as the machine rolled in
“You could feel the excitement in the air,” says Christian, Partner at LPM-RIVAL, with pride in his voice. Part of the tension came from the fact that the new machine was so big that there was no room for error – the machine could only just fit in through the gate.
With support from Bøje Maskintransport, the team moved the machine was moved calmly and precisely from the truck into its new position.
Jakob gets the keys to LPM-Rival’s new machine
The new machine will produce highly specialised aluminium components for the defence industry, and our industrial technician, Jakob Koch Pedersen, is looking forward to taking full responsibility for its daily operation. “It’s always exciting when a new machine arrives,” says Jakob, continuing: “but this one feels special – in the machining world, it’s like being handed the keys to a Formula 1 car.”
Jakob has already started programming parts for the new machine, which is expected to significantly boost capacity and deliver high-complexity, high-precision components daily.
Three more machines on the way
“We’re seeing a major increase in demand from our customers, and that means we constantly have to consider how to expand our capacity,” says Christian. This week alone, LPM-RIVAL has ordered three more machines from DMG, with deliveries scheduled between week 33 and week 40. “We’re heading into a busy autumn – but we’re ready,” Christian adds with a smile.
A huge step forward
“At LPM-RIVAL, we don’t just invest in steel and machines– we invest in our people and in being able to say yes to the next big project,” Christian explains. With greater capacity and new roles – like Jakob’s – the entire team is moving forward together.
“This brings us closer to the future we want to create – and we’re excited to get started,” says Christian.
