Another Zeiss measuring machine to RIVAL
RIVAL has just bought another Zeiss Calypso measuring machine and thus doubles the capacity of the measuring room.
“The degree of difficulty and the tolerance demands to our components are increasing and that requires more measurements in the machining process,” production manager Søren Djursland says. “In recent years, we have experienced higher and higher measurement demands from our customers, and we get more and more drawings with GPS tolerances, which we can only meet by using the measuring machine.”
“This means, we have experienced a bottleneck in the measuring room, and we have all become aware of how much we depend on the measuring machine,” he says. “By increasing the capacity of the measuring room, we can minimise the lead time in the production and thus offer our customers faster delivery times.”
